Aftercare 101
Here’s all the things you need to do to maintain your glow!
Waxing Aftercare
First 24 Hours: Treat It Like Baby Skin
Your pores are open and your skin is sensitive. Be gentle.
Avoid:
• Hot baths, saunas, steam rooms
• Heavy workouts (hello sweat + friction)
• Tight clothing
• Tanning or sun exposure
• Touching the area excessively
Do instead:
• Wear loose, breathable fabrics
• Keep the area clean and dry
• Apply a soothing serum or oil if recommended
Days 2–3: Keep It Calm + Hydrated
Your focus:
✔ Gentle cleansing
✔ Light moisturizing (Deck Polish is our favorite, ask your waxer!)
✔ No picking
Day 3 and Beyond: Exfoliation & Hydration
This is where the magic happens.
Exfoliate 3–5x per week
This prevents ingrowns and keeps skin silky smooth.
Options:
• Dry brushing
• Exfoliating scrub (Deck Scrub is our GO TO)
• Chemical exfoliants (Hello Agent 88, ask your waxer!)
Follow with:
Daily moisturizing to keep hair soft and skin smooth. (Deck Polish)
Don’t Pick Ingrowns
We know. It’s tempting. But picking = scars + pigmentation.
If you need help, book an ingrown treatment or hydrating treatment and let us handle it.
Brow Lamination + Lash Lift
First 24–48 Hours: KEEP THEM DRY
This is the most important rule.
Avoid:
• Water
• Steam
• Sweating
• Cleansers or skincare on the brows / Lashes
Think of it like setting fresh nail polish. Let them cure.
No Sleeping Face-Down
We love a dramatic sleeper, but not for fresh laminations or lifts.
Try to avoid smashing your brows / lashes into the pillow.
Skip Active Skincare on Brows
For 3–5 days, avoid:
• Retinol
• Acids
• Vitamin C directly on the brow area
These can weaken the solution.
Daily Brow TLC
After the first couple days:
Brush brows / lashes upward daily
Use nourishing oil or serum if recommended
Hydration keeps the hairs healthy and shiny
When to Reach Out
A little redness = normal.
But message us if you notice:
• Excessive swelling
• Persistent irritation
• Signs of infection
• Severe ingrowns
We’ve seen it all. You’re never bothering us.
